ExtendSim Player RunTime

Interactively run an ExtendSim model, watch as items move through the model, explore its inner workings, and view simulation results.

Player RunTime is a great introduction to ExtendSim! This free download allows you to open, run, watch, and explore models built in a Model Developer Edition of ExtendSim.

Capabilities of the Player RunTime

With the Player RunTime, you're not just watching a static video of a running model. You can actually engage with the model.

Interactively run a model built in a Model Developer Edition of ExtendSim. There are no limits to the size of the model you can run, how long the runs are, or how long you can use the license (this is not an expiring type of license).
Open block dialogs.
View animation.
Get results.
Run Reliability models with an unlimited number of event cycles.
Access ExtendSim menus & full documentation.
Includes RunTime versions of all ExtendSim libraries.
Runs models using the Scenario Manager and Optimizer.
Model Developers can use scripting in their models to command blocks to move on a worksheet. When Player RunTime users run the model, they can watch as it animates across their screen.
Plus, run models that call COM DLLs.

Limitations

Though you can open and run ExtendSim models in the Player RunTime, you cannot change settings or access all of the menu items in ExtendSim.
The Player RunTime does not allow the building of models or blocks.
Nor can you change the model configuration.
No importing or changing of model parameters.
Copy and Paste is disabled in the Player RunTime.
Model results cannot be exported from a Player RunTime.
It can only read RunTime versions of libraries (those with .lbrrt suffix), not standard libraries (with .lbr suffix).
To unlock some of these limitations, use Analysis RunTime.

Licensing

Each ExtendSim Player RunTime license is a perpetual license that permits one person (the “Authorized User”) to install and use ExtendSim on their computer.

You may not install the ExtendSim Player RunTime on a server, allow others to access its use or functionality, include it on a USB drive, CD, or any other media, nor post it online. The Player RunTime is simply for viewing and running pre-built models.
