A parsed version of the 5 lines of information in the ExtendSim Activation Info.txt file is shown here:
- Line 1: Identifies the ExtendSim product you purchased.
- Line 2: Contains user and activation details, including:
- User name, email address, and company name (as entered in the Activation dialog).
- Whether the “Notify me” option was selected.
- Country code indicating where the license was activated.
- A designation (e.g., “W”) indicating the operating system (Windows).
- The user name and company name also appear on the ExtendSim startup screen after activation.
- Line 3: The Activation Key.
- Line 4: Rehost information — a unique identifier generated by the Reprise License Manager (RLM). This value is encrypted and stored in the Reprise folder on the device. It remains associated with the license even if the license is moved to another device.
- Line 5: A device-specific reference number, such as a disk serial number, used to identify the computer where ExtendSim is installed.
