You will need to reset the ExtendSim 9 Network license's License Manager if there is a connection issue or if a user on a Client device has:
- Removed the lic.dat file from the Documents > ExtendSim9 folder,
- Uninstalled ExtendSim while a license was checked out and never checked back in, or
- Damaged a license so it can't be checked back in.
To reset the license count:
- On the Server, open the ExtendSim9Server folder (by default, it is located at the root of the C: drive).
- Right-click on the Remove ExtendSim9Server.exe file and choose Run as Administrator.
- Locate the file Setup ExtendSim9Server.exe. As was just done with the Remove file, right-click the Setup file and choose Run as Administrator.
- During the Setup procedure, you will receive a Reference Code. Email that Reference Code from the Setup dialog with your ExtendSim 9 Serial Number to sales.ExtendSim@Andritz.com.
- The ExtendSim Team will generate a License Key and email it back to you to complete the Setup process. It may take 24-48 hours for you to receive the License Key, so you can click Cancel to close the License dialog.
- Once you receive the License Key, reopen the License dialog.
- Enter the License Key in the appropriate field of the License dialog and click OK. You will receive the following notices confirmig the License Manager is setup:
- License Key accepted.
- The IP address of the Server. You will need either that IP address or the Server’s Domain Name to install and activate ExtendSim on Client computers.
- Server License Manager Installed.
- Server License Manager is running verification message.
